Compare R-alpha-lipoic acid (R-ALA): dose, servings and price
Kept separate from standard racemic ALA.
💡 What to know
What we compare
R-ALA is the R-enantiomer of alpha-lipoic acid. A label may list free R-ALA or a stabilized salt such as sodium R-lipoate. The form is shown separately and is not treated as an automatic advantage. Price is normalized to 100 mg labeled R-ALA.
Benefits
The R-enantiomer is the naturally occurring form of lipoic acid synthesized in cells and used by mitochondrial enzymes. Stabilized salt forms differ from free lipoic acid in properties such as solubility.

Calculation
Price is normalized to 100 mg labeled R-ALA. The calculation uses: unambiguously labeled equivalent R-ALA × servings per container. Not included in the price calculation: sodium and other components unless they are part of the manufacturer-declared R-ALA equivalent.
Show formula
package price ÷ total labeled R-ALA × 100 mgThe result shows the cost of the same declared amount of active ingredient using the package price you entered.
